Niacinamide (sometimes called nicotinamide) is a specific, water soluble form of vitamin B3, used in skincare to visibly improve the skin's appearance and support the skin's overall condition. Good combinations include niacinamide and retinol, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide and salicylic acid.

Niacinamide works well with many other active ingredients, but it's not recommended to combine niacinamide with glycolic acid. Glycolic acid and niacinamide have very different pH levels, and using the two in combination can affect the efficacy of the ingredient.
