Skin Check Champions is a non-for-profit charity improving access and awareness for the early detection of skin cancer.

Australia is the #1 country for Skin Cancer. It is likely to affect 2 in 3 Australians, kill one of us every five hours and is the biggest cancer affecting young people.*

Together with La Roche-Posay, as the official sunscreen partner, Skin Check Champions is dedicated to 'making skin cancer history’.

Skin Check Champions’ immediate goal is to pioneer a targeted, national skin check program – codenamed Project Check Mate, bringing skin check services to communities most at risk. They have been trialling and refining this program for over a decade, and are working with the Government, their research partners and La Roche-Posay to bring a scalable, impactful model to places where it's needed most.

Since 2020, La Roche-Posay and Skin Check Champions have provided well over 3,000 free, educational skin checks and discovered over 1,000 potential skin cancers – including more than 70 potential melanomas . Together, we have inspired millions of people around the world to be more sun smart and aware of early detection, through our historic installation on Bondi Beach with world renowned artist, Spencer Tunick, which garnered the attention of global news channels and reached over 40 Million people.

Save your Skin and get checked regularly by your dermatologist or GP.
