SKIN CHECKS CAN SAVE LIVES: BOOK YOURS TODAY
In Australia, monitoring your moles should be part of your regular health routine alongside regular sun protection methods like wearing sunscreen and seeking shade. Many of us don’t know where to start. More than 95% of skin cancer in Australia directly relates to UV radiation exposure. Over 98% of skin cancers can be successfully treated if detected early.* In partnership with Australian charity, Skin Check Champions, La Roche-Posay is on a mission to raise awareness of skin cancer and early prevention by providing complimentary skin checks all around the country. Since 2020, we have conducted over 9,400 free skin checks across Australia and detected over 190 potential melanomas.*https://ncci.canceraustralia.gov.au/outcomes/relative-survival-rate/relative-survival-stage-diagnosis-melanoma

HOW TO IMPLEMENT SUN PROTECTION IN AUSTRALIA?
Alongside regular at-home examinations and annual visits to a skin check clinic, you can protect your skin from environmental stress with other helpful measures. UV radiation is also one of the biggest accelerators of premature ageing signs in skin such as wrinkles, fine lines and loss of elasticity, so sun protection is a key component of anti-ageing skincare routines. See how to protect your skin from sun exposure below.
ALWAYS READ THE LABEL AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE. Apply 20 minutes before sun exposure. Sunscreen is only one part of sun protection so wear protective clothing and seek shade. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Re-apply every 2 hours and after swimming, towelling and perspiring in accordance with directions.
